into how the Princess Diana Murder Cover-Up Turns Deadly http://www.usaweekendnews.com/Diana_Rememberance4.html
by Jeffrey Steinberg
Nearly three years after the Paris car crash that claimed the lives of Princess Diana and Dodi Fayed, the cover-up of that tragedy has taken a deadly turn, prompting some experts to recall the pileup of corpses that followed the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. Over the course of four years, after President Kennedy was shot on Nov. 22, 1963, at least 37 eyewitnesses and other sources of evidence about the crime, including one member of the infamous Warren Commission, which oversaw the cover-up, died under mysterious circumstances.
On May 5, 2000, police in the south of France found a badly burned body inside the wreckage of a car, deep in the woods near Nantes. The body was so charred that it took police nearly a month before DNA tests confirmed that the dead man was Jean-Paul "James" Andanson, a 54-year-old millionaire photographer, who was among the paparazzi stalking Princess Diana and Dodi Fayed during the week before their deaths.
From the day of the fatal crash in the Place de l'Alma tunnel, that killed Diana, Dodi, and driver Henri Paul, and severely injured bodyguard Trevor Rees-Jones, Andanson had been at the center of the controversy.
Mohamed Al-Fayed, the father of Dodi Fayed, and the owner of Harrods Department Store in London and the Paris Ritz Hotel, has labelled the Aug. 31, 1997 crash a murder, ordered by the British royal family, and most likely executed through agents and assets of the British secret intelligence service MI6--with collusion from French officials, whose cooperation in the cover-up would have been essential.
At least seven eyewitnesses to the crash said that they saw a white Fiat Uno and a motorcycle speed out of the tunnel, seconds after the crash. Forensic tests have confirmed that a white Fiat Uno collided with the Mercedes carrying Diana and Dodi, and that this collision was a significant factor in the crash. Several eyewitnesses told police that they saw a powerful flash of light just seconds before the Mercedes swerved out of control and crashed into the 13th pillar of the Alma tunnel. That bright light--either a camera flash or a far more powerful flash of a laser weapon--was probably fired by the passenger on the back of the speeding motorcycle. Both the motorcycle and the white Fiat fled the crash scene, and police claim they have been unable to locate either vehicle, or identify the drivers or the passengers.

Prosecutors may offer the physician the chance to voluntarily surrender himself in Los Angeles rather than being arrested.
Dr Murray is likely to face a charge of involuntary manslaughter which carries a maximum sentence of four years under Californian law.
Investigators had initially looked at charging him with second degree murder but couldn't find enough evidence to support a case.
Dr Murray has admitted administering the powerful sedative propofol to the singer on the day he died to help him sleep.
But he claims the amount, 25 milligrams, was small and should not have been fatal.
To secure a conviction for involuntary manslaughter prosecutors will have to prove that Dr Murray acted recklessly and created a high risk of death.
He will also be asked why he didn't tell paramedics or doctors at the UCLA hospital, where Jackson was rushed after collapsing, that he had administered propofol.
Leading US attorney Roy Black said the intensity of the two month police investigation made it inevitable that Dr Murray would be charged. He said: "I have no doubt he's going to be indicted. Just the amount of work tells us that."
The homicide ruling by the coroner's office was based on forensic tests that found propofol combined with at least two other sedatives, lorazepam and midazolam, to kill Jackson.
Lee Cantrell, director of the San Diego division of the California Poison Control System, said 25 milligrams of propofol was "not a whopping amount" but in a cocktail of other sedatives may have "pushed him over the edge".
He said: "This is horrible polypharmacy. No one will treat an insomniac like this."
Dr Murray has said he had been trying to wean the singer off propofol. He had been treating Jackson for insomnia for six weeks with 50 milligrams of the drug every night through an intravenous drip.
He had lowered the propofol dose to 25 milligrams and added lorazepam and midazolam two days prior to Jackson's death. The combination succeeded in helping the pop star sleep.
Dr Murray said he cut off the propofol completely the next day and Jackson fell asleep with just the two sedatives. But on June 25 he gave in to the singer's repeated demands for propofol.

JAKARTA, Indonesia – A pair of powerful explosions at two luxury hotels killed nine and wounded at least 50 people in an upscale Jakarta neighborhood Friday morning, sending debris and glass flying onto the streets.
Anti-terror forces were at the scenes of both blasts, but did not yet want to speculate about the possibility of an attack by militants.
"There were bodies on the ground, one of them had no stomach," said a man who lives near the hotels and who arrived at the Marriott before emergency services. "It was terrible."
Alex Asmasubrata, who was jogging by the hotels, said he first heard a loud explosion at the Marriott. Five minutes later, a bomb followed at the Ritz.
The blasts were caused by "high explosives," Security Minister Widodo Adi Sucipto told reporters at the scene, without elaborating. He said they exploded two minutes apart.
He said a New Zealander was among those killed, and that thirteen other foreigners were among the injured.
Two U.S. officials said one American is believed to have been injured but that has not yet been confirmed. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the situation publicly.
The police operational chief Arief Wahyunadi said the bombs were planted in the Ritz-Carlton's Air Langga restaurant and the basement of the Marriott, which was attacked in 2003. Twelve people died in that assault, which was blamed on Southeast Asian terror network Jemaah Islamiyah.
There has been a massive crackdown by anti-terror officials since then, and it has been more than three years since a major terrorist attack in Indonesia.
The Manchester United football team was scheduled to stay at the Ritz on Saturday and Sunday nights for a friendly match against the Indonesian All Stars, the Indonesian Football association said.
Because of past attacks, most major hotels in Jakarta take security precautions, such as checking incoming vehicles and requiring visitors to pass through metal detectors. Still, international hotels make attractive targets, since the nature of their business requires them to be relatively open and accessible.
